(AP) — The National Weather Service says a strong cold front will bring unseasonably cool temperatures to Arkansas along with the chance for flooding in the southern part of the state. Today was predicted to be another hot day, but temperatures are expected to drop drastically as the front moves in. Forecasters say that starting Tuesday, high temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s with overnight lows dipping into the 50s in some places. The cold front is predicted to bring storms, and some areas in southern Arkansas could see 2 to 4 inches of rain through Friday. Forecasters say only a handful of cities in Arkansas have hit 100 degrees so far this year, with the hottest temperatures occurring Sunday in most places.
