APC IN THEIR USUAL AGBRO STYLE The lawmakers, who stormed the assembly complex at about 4am for security concerns, took the decision during plenary which lasted about 20 minutes.There was mild a drama on floor of the House when some of the APC lawmakers attempted to snatch the mace but were promptly prevented by security operatives. After their failed attempt, the three APC lawmakers who were involved in the act were escorted by security men out of the chamber. Meanwhile, at about 6:30am when news of the presence of the members at the assembly filtered into town, youths in their hundreds stormed the state Assembly to disrupting proceedings but were met with stiff resistance from the police. After an attempt to force their way in, the Police were forced to fire several canisters of teargas at them which turned the assembly environment into a hazy stretch of smoke. Informed sources at the Assembly who pleaded anonymity revealed that there was a standoff between the speaker and the PDP members who questioned his commitment to their quest of ousting the governor. The sources revealed further that 19 out of the 20 members of the PDP threatened to impeach the speaker when he attempted to reschedule the sitting. He was forced to do their bidding.
