APC Minister’s Husband & SLPP Donate To Kenema and Kailahun Some of the donated items and a cross-section of the executive of the Alie Kabba Foundation & SLPP The Alie Kabba Foundation and the executive of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party, Eastern Region, have donated two hundred and fifty (250) bags of rice to the Kenema and Kailahun Government Hospitals, orphans and survivors in Koindu in the Kailahun District respectively. The donation is to support Government’s effort to eradicate Ebola in the country. The handing over ceremony commenced at the Kenema Government Hospital where the executive presented over the fifty (50) bags of rice to staff of the hospital. Dr. Christian Pratt, who received the rice on behalf of the Government Hospital, commended the Ali Kabba Foundation for the gesture adding that the donation is timely as the rice would be distributed among staff members. He further informed the team that there has been a decrease in Ebola cases in the District as a lot has been done to contain the outbreak. The team also made a similar gesture of 50 bags of rice to staff of the Kenema Government Secondary School that was received by the Principal, Mustapha Mansaray. Mr. Mansaray thanked the Alie Kabba Foundation and the SLPP executive for the timely intervention during such trying times as many teachers have lost their lives in the outbreak. He highlighted that Alie Kabba is an old boy of the Kenema Government Secondary School that the school is proud of and has constructed and furnished the school library for students to read and research and called on the Alie Kabba Foundation to do more as the District is still quarantined. The SLPP Kenema executive, represented by Senisi Bayor, commended the Kenema Government Hospital for the leading role demonstrated during the Ebola outbreak in the District and informed that the Foundation is sympathizing and is appreciative of the hospital for the death of health workers. The rice for orphans was presented to the Hands of Charity Organization in Kenema Town to be distributed among children Ebola survivors, the sick and orphans. In Kailahun District, the 50 bags of rice were handed over to the District Medical Officer, James Square by the Project Officer of the Ali Kabba Foundation, Sanja Kabba and the SLPP Kailahun District executive. The Foundation, Mr. Kabba enlightened, was launched over five years ago, has embarked on a lot of activities across the country and concluded that another 50 bags of the rice were distributed among Ebola survivors in Koindu.
