APC in Mangu organized a sweeping rally to kick off their party’s campaign Yesterday 15th of January 2015, the All People’s Progressive Party APC in Mangu LGA staged a sweeping event to usher in their party’s campaign with the coming of the Party’s presidential candidate Gen Mohammadu Buhari to plateau state tomorrow. The Mangu APC Vice Chairman Titus Elisha Bise told reporters that “we as farmers here in Mangu always clear our land in order to kick off the planting season, and as a party we are using our symbol the broom to sweep our land of corruption, injustice and inequality before we kick off our campaign”. The party supporters came out en-mass and did a symbolic sweeping of selected locations in Mangu town. Leader of the women wing in Mangu, Mrs Jiforcia Alex urged women in Plateau state to come out and vote for APC in the coming election, “we need a party that will give us a listening ear, we are tired of seeing our children suffering in this state” she said. Mr. Danjuma the publicity secretary of the Lalong/Tyoden gubernatorial campaign told reporters that they came out to support the event as a means of expressing their democratic franchise by preparing the ground for the forthcoming campaign of their candidate, he also cleared the air on the propaganda the opposition is spreading in Plateau State that the APC belongs to a certain group of people and religion, he said “Plateau State is under siege, we are here to let people know that they have the right to vote and be voted for, our state is not a family estate is nobody’s private property, it does not belongs to a certain group of people, we must vote for change, a change that will guaranty our freedom as a People
