APCs Buhari Most Likely To Win 2015 Presidential Election. “I - TopicsExpress

APCs Buhari Most Likely To Win 2015 Presidential Election. “I would like to, in advance, congratulate General Muhammadu Buhari GCFR (rtd.) for his imminent victory in the APC primaries. Also, for his subsequent win in the presidential election in 2015. Among all the contenders in the APC, not to mention the ruling PDP, or any other parties, there is nobody who is as competent as Buhari to lead Nigeria. I’ve promised God, myself and Nigeria to be truthful, loyal and honest. I promised not to be a sectional bigot, or tribal chauvinist. I promised to look for a good candidate to vote for, and urge others to vote for him. Although I am a satirist, I am not a Buhari narcissist, but, rather, a truth seeker. “Let’s look critically at the APCs presidential aspirants. None of them even come close to Buhari, as he is superior to them in all aspects. Buhari was a one-time Minister of Petroleum. But Buhari is the only former Petroleum Minister without an oil well, or a filling station. Buhari was a one-time governor of the now-defunct North-Eastern State. Yet, he is neither filthy rich nor extravagant. Buhari was, above all, a military Head of State for twenty months. Yet, Buhari has no estate, no private jet, no billions of dollars in his account. “Nigerians shouldn’t make the same mistake twice. I am a Muslim and a Northerner, but you shouldn’t judge me because of that. I am not supporting Buhari because of personal gain, or because of the region. I criticized the late Yar’Adua for refusing to resign when he was sick. I am a true Nigerian and I challenge you to be one, too. “I believe that a certain Christian Southerner from Bayelsa is to be blamed for the failure of the current regime. Current security issues, the devaluation of naira, massive looting spree, the lies and the I-don’t-care attitude of the government are the evidence of that. I am not calling on people to be pessimistic. But we should be realistic and skeptical on whom we vote for. I am sure even I could defeat President Jonathan in 2015. In fact, you, the reader, could defeat Jonathan, too. “Nigeria has never had such a difficult time. Nigerians are desperate. We must rise against negative political mongering. Competence, experience and ability to lead should be our focus. I promise Nigeria to vote for good leaders all through. What about you?” Suleiman Shehu Umar.
