APGA IN A SECRET PACT WITH APC IN ANAMBRA. Unlike their soar relationship at the national level, the leadership of the All progressive grand alliance and All progressive congress in Anambra state are seemingly in a secret pact to form a common front in checkmating the excessess of PDPs gimmicks and maneurverings. As gathered, this unexpected political marriage and hobnobbing is being championed by the leader of the ruling party in the state who doubles as the national leader of the party, and APCs state leader who is currently occupying a seat at the upper chamber of the national assembly. The presidential pendulum undoubtedly will swing either the side of the PDP or APC and inother not to be caught unawares, every smart politician is trying not to put all his eggs in one basket. Expectly if APC makes it to Aso rock, senate presidency may well be zoned to the southeast and Chris Ngige if he makes it back to the red chambrs might be the most favourite for the job. Infact this is what prompted the marriage of these bed-fellows with APC surrendering their platform for APGA defectors as a means to dwarfen PDP support base. With this arrangement, the senatorial candidate of APGA for Anambra central senatorial and the incumbent national chairman of APGA is the number one sell out. His sole candidacy in the APGA primaries was to allow him disorganize the base of the likely PDP candidate, (Iyom) Uche Ekwunife. As expected Victor Umeh and Uche Ekwunife will scampar for votes at the Anaocha/Njikkoka axis of Anambra central while Chris Ngige will have a field day at the Idemmili axis, putting him at an advantage position. At the Awka north/south federal house, Emeke Nwogbo, the incumbent member who won his first term in 2011 under APGA and one of the few remaining honourable members on the banner of APGA has been drafted as the APC candidate for Awka north&south. He will be battling his kinsman, Anayo Nebe of PDP while Godson Ezenagu will be gaining advantage with his Awka south local government. Also Uchenna Okonkwo-Okom who joined APC from APGA some weeks ago will fight for the votes of Orumba north with Ifeoma Obi of PDP while Ifeanyi Hygers balances with the votes of people south of Orumba. Lets hope this alliance brings igbo nation back to relevance in the national political scene. - From Ofojebe Chukwuebuka wall
