APGA Names Obiano New Leader, Board Of Trustees Chair The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) yesterday named Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, as its leader/Board of Trustees chairman. With the appointment, he replaces his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi, who decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last month. The party’s NEC also approved the guidelines for the conduct of its primaries to select candidates for the elections as was released by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party on October 21, 2014. National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh disclosed the position of NEC in a statement issued to newsmen. The statement stated that pursuant to the mandate given on January 18, 2014, by the National Executive Committee to the National Working Committee to fill existing vacancies in the NWC, the NEC also appointed Mr. Alexander Amujiogu as the acting Deputy National Secretary of the party.
