APHC Press Release To Sachnews Jammu Kashmir: Srinagar, March 28: While terming track II type of secret dialogue as a futile exercise, chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani have categorically rejected any solution within the constitution of India and said that we hope that Pakistan will also focus on the United Nations resolutions instead of any out of box solution and will stay away from every such agreement with India which will harm the Kashmir cause. He said that disputes and issues are at last solved through dialogue but until India will not accept the disputed nature of Kashmir till then dialogues are meaningless exercises and they will not yield any result. In a telephonic address to an international conference in Islamabad Pakistan the pro-freedom leader said that the Kashmir is an international dispute and not only 1.5 crore Kashmiries are suffering by this dispute but it is also the reason behind the instability and political uncertainty in the whole South Asian region. The huge and only hurdle in solving this long pending dispute is the rigid and stubborn policy of India and this country want to solve this issue with its state power and military might instead of international resolutions and agreements. Geelani Sahab said that India want to bury the Kashmir issue by taking the benefit of Pakistan’s internal problems, so it is not the right time for the talks with India. He said that the dialogues are held when the both parties are equal in status and this time Pakistan is not in position to held talks with India, because the internal as well as external issues have over burdened this country. While terming that the success of Kashmiries is definite, pro-freedom leader said that the freedom struggle of any nation is not time bound and we will continue over struggle till the last Indian solider is in Kashmir. Anything less than complete freedom from India is unacceptable to Kashmiries and Pakistan should also maintain its traditional policy on Kashmir. We will neither compromise over Kashmir cause nor will we allow anybody for any compromise. We have sacrificed our lives and property and our honour and dignity have been forcibly snatched by India. Geelani Sahab said that Kashmiries are a peace loving people and we don’t want any war between India and Pakistan. He said that disputes have always been solved through talks instead of war but until India will not shun its integral part rhetoric and until they will not accept ground realities, till than dialogue process is meaningless and futile exercise. While terming the internal issues and disturbances of Pakistan as a painful situation for him, the pro-freedom leader said that though some external forces and countries are involved in its creation, but the main responsibility lies on the shoulders of former President Parvez Mushraf and his unplanned policy. The voices raised by the separatists of Baluchistan are due to him. He said that “I once told him in a meeting that you should held talks with your people and you should not use force upon them”, but instead of giving a suitable answer he said that the Tony Blair and Bush are his friends so he has no issues. While terming the actions of Tehreek-e-Taliban on Pakistan army and civil population as totally unacceptable and unjustified, Geelani Sahab expressed his hope that serious and sincere dialogue will be carried out with them and no one would be allowed to disturb the dialogue process. Geelani Sahab said that Pakistan holds a unique status in the Muslim world and its stability and strength is very important for the whole Ummah. The Pakistan government, Islamic scholars and intellectuals should together prepare a strategy to tackle the current situation and this should be done on priority.
