APHC to release report on HR violations in IOK Srinagar, September 26: In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights department of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) will release a detailed report on the rights violations by Indian forces in the territory.In this connection, a meeting of the Human Rights department held with its Chairman, Syed Saleem Gilani in chair in Srinagar and thoroughly discussed the release of report. Later, talking to newsmen, he said that all the preparations had been finalised and facts and figures were being collected. He said that conferences and seminars to highlight the human rights violations would be held at district level in the occupied territory. Meanwhile, APHC leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with other Hurriyet leaders and activists visited Darpura and Yaripura in Shopian and expressed solidarity with the families of Kashmiri youth killed by Indian troops recently. APHC leader, Zafar Akbar Butt in a media interview in Srinagar welcomed the proposed meeting of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on the sideline of the UN General Assembly session in New York. He said that unresolved Kashmir dispute was the main cause of strained relations between the two nuclear neighbours. He said that peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute could bring progress and prosperity in the region. The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir, in his statement in Srinagar strongly denounced the continued crackdown against the Kashmiri youth, which, he said, had created uncertainty among the people of the territory. He said that the Indian police were registering fake cases against the innocent youth which was injustice and showed frustration of the authorities.
