APPEARS TO BE FERAL is what is said of SHADOW, who has a NEW HOPE rating. Shes only 2, and in pretty good condition for a feral. If one gazes at some of the lucky feral cats who have made it out of ACC and are in the new beginnings album, one can see that feral is a term slapped on any stray cat that shows aggression. The ACC have no idea if SHADOW is feral, but they has slapped the fractious label on her-and its unfair. This is a frightened girl, a scared animal who doesnt understand whats happened to her. Shes been slapped into a cage and manhandled under sedation, and the sedation itself can cause hallucinations in cats ofttimes. SHADOW has another thing against her-shes a black cat and black cats are the most common cat to be killed-which is sad. In a home, given some time to feel safe and to destress, SHADOW would probably be fine, if allowed to get to know people and her environment. It might take time, but speaking from experience, working with a SHADOW is so worth it, its watching a bud come into flower, and bloom lovely and strong...all it takes is some patience and love. Dont turn your back on SHADOW-without you she simply doesnt have a chance. She needs you tonight-shes all alone in the world and without you shell be killed.
