APPROVED yesterday ( October 7, 2013 ) on the 12th Regular Session. Ordinance No. 2013 - 028 "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF LANDS WITHIN VALENZUELA CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOCIALIZED HOUSING AND RELOCATION OF INFORMAL SETTLERS FROM NEARBY AND OTHER CITIES OR MUNICIPALITIES" WHEREAS, to achieve the goal of "zero-informal-settlers" Valenzuela City, there is a need to regulate social housing activities and transfer of lands fpr socialized housing projects; NOW THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED, as it is hereby ORDAINED, to prohibit sale, lease, assignment and all forms of transfer the ownership and possession for the purposes of socialized housing and relocating informal settlers from nearby and other cities and municipalities. PROVIDED, this prohibition does not apply if the sale, lease, assignment and all forms of transfer the ownership and possession was executed for the purpose of relocating informal settlers who are residents of Valenzuela City. PROVIDED, FURTHER, the sale, lease, assignment and all forms of transfer of the ownership and possession to a private realtor in the ordinary course of its business for socialized housing and sale to general public but not for the purpose of relocating informal settlers from nearby cities and municipalities shall not be covered by this ordinance.
