APSO arrest Gonzales man for growing marijuana in his home According to Chief Deputy Tony Bacala of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, narcotics detectives were contacted by East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office advising that an individual may be growing marijuana in his residence. On Thursday night, September 18, narcotics detectives went to 13158 Harold Road to investigate the possible growth of marijuana in the residence. Detectives could smell a strong aroma of marijuana as they began to approach the residence. Detectives obtained a search warrant and observed approximately 100 marijuana plants growing in the residence, along with growing equipment and chemicals relative to growing marijuana. Ronald Fuselier Jr., 39, of 13158 Harold Road, Gonzales was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
