APSO shuts down Meth lab The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division received an anonymous tip from the sheriff’s office tip line that Heath Trabeaux had a meth lab in his home. Following an investigation by Narcotics detectives’ sufficient probable cause was developed for the search of Trabeaux’s home. On September 3 detectives responded to Trabeaux’s residence on Highway 936 in reference to the creation of a meth lab, according to Major Kevin Hanna. On September 3 detectives located a methamphetamine lab in Trabeauxs residence. Detectives also located a two-year-old child and the child’s mother, Molly Pinson in the home. The minor child was released by detectives to a next of kin. Additionally, detectives contacted the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services in order for them to conduct an investigation to determine if the child needed to be taken into the states custody. The living conditions of the home were deplorable, Major Hanna said. A certified hazardous materials company had to be dispatched to the home immediately in order to remove the methamphetamine lab. The chemicals used to produce crystal meth are toxic to the environment and highly explosive. Both Trabeaux and Pinson were arrested. Heath Trabeaux, 42, of 9086 W. Hwy. 936, St. Amant was arrested and charged with creation of a clandestine lab, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cruelty to a juvenile, illegal possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Molly Pinson, 26, of 9086 W. Hwy. 936, St. Amant was arrested and charged with creation of a clandestine lab, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cruelty to a juvenile, illegal possession of CDS in the presence of a person under 17, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail where no bond has been set yet.
