APUSH. There, I said it. I think the fight is a distraction - TopicsExpress

APUSH. There, I said it. I think the fight is a distraction and it divides people who, in my opinion, really do want the same thing. I believe we all want the truth about History. all of it. Good and Bad. all of it. I am posting this because from everything I read (I mean from sourced documents, not someones opinion), the new framework will be vastly different and diminishes or doesnt tell the story about founding fathers, D-day, Rosa Parks etc... Also, I am told that what is being taught in classrooms TODAY is still the old framework but the New TEST will be this May. See new framework (AKA curriculum) here: media.collegeboard/digitalServices/pdf/ap/ap-course-exam-descriptions/ap-us-history-course-and-exam-description.pdf Can anyone confirm or deny (I mean really check what is in teachers classroom) and see if schools are using old or new AP History? I want to know why those opposed to Common Core arent even a smidge suspicious that AP is from the same (non-teacher) millionaire that wrote Common Core and is being back doored just like CC was. David Coleman. You trust this guy?! Dont you want to review the curriculum first (1 sample test was just released) and see what it is before you adopt it? Cant we find someone unbiased to review it? seriously?! I want to get to the bottom of this. Show me what is good or bad about the new APUSH -with a citation or source. I dont want to hear about teachers unions, or board members. I want to discuss APUSH not politics. really. Attacking the other side only adds fuel to the fire. Can we lists facts that we know and find an answer? thank you.
