ARE YOU A LOYALIST? By: Christopher Cruz Being a loyalist of a politician is like being a rabid dog, in tagalog, asong ulol. Dogs are loyal animals. Their loyalty to their master is indestructible no matter what, even if their owner is a thief or a murderer. These animals will enrage like volcanic eruption if you come near to their master. Their muscles will stiffen as hard as rock. They will bark so strong. They will show their teeth so sharp and with their sticky saliva infected with rabies flowing out of their mouth like a faucet telling you to back-off. They will protect and defend their boss even if it will cost their lives. Just like the rabid dogs (asong ulol), Marcos loyalists will do anything to defend Marcos till death. Say anything against the Marcoses and these fanatics will bark at you like a barbaric dog with their infectious ad hominems and personal attacks flowing out of their mouth like a machine gun. Some may even threaten to kill you. These loyalists spend most of their time barking on social media and on the streets begging you to support their idol instead of doing productive things that will benefit the society. Being a loyalist will make you blind. You may not see the truth even in broad daylight because your subconscious mind will tell you to believe only on what is suitable for you to believe. Dont be a loyalist of any politician because its like allowing yourself to be used as a pawn for their personal interest. Be loyal to your country instead. Dont be like a rabid dog. #Share
