The proposal calls for new regulations to reduce the use of neonicotinoid-treated corn and soybean seeds by 80 per cent. There’s more to be done — such as expanding restrictions to all neonicotinoid insecticides and all Ontario crops — but the province’s move is an important step to protect our pollinators.
