ARE YOU OUT OF POCKET? Weve arrested a man on suspicion of fraud following reports of a bogus charity collector operating in Small Heath. The 44-year-old was arrested on Wednesday, 17 September, following calls from members of the public concerned about a man seen collecting money on Coventry Road for charitable causes in Palestine. The man was released on police bail while we continue our inquiries, but were still keen to hear from any members of the public who may have seen someone collecting money in the Small Heath and Sparkhill areas of the city in dubious circumstances. We would particularly like to hear from anyone who feels they could have given money to an unregistered charity, or to a collector without the appropriate licence.
