ARE YOU PRESENT? It is so, so important to be present with our children on the spectrum (rather than thinking about something else, multi-tasking, planning something, remembering a past event, or being only half there). Being present accomplishes several things: 1) Your child feels that you are really there, which enable him/her to connect with you - something crucial for our children especially. 2) You actually get to really be there with your child - something I promise you will look back on later and wish you had done as much as possible. 3) You can notice and pick up on your childs cues - a vital skill if you are implementing The Son Rise Program®. 4) You can most effectively keep your child safe. And what happens when you arent present? Check out this video to find out! (Its less than a minute long.) youtu.be/NBn0yWmbd5U Raun K.
