ARE YOUR PREPARED..i woke up with a little WARNING for all of you today.. Take it or leave it. My friends KNOW why i am writing this. I ask people this question all the time. People think they are ready for an earthquake but do not realize they are really not. A person can die in 3 days with no water. I have been in big earthquakes where one of them completely FOREVER keeps me ready. Our water supply was contaminated, our grocery stores were demolished, no electricity, homes were damaged, gas line burst, streets and freeways were broken, and no communicaton at that time. We lived outside in our car for 3 months. Water was brought in by Sparkletts going down the streets. Food was shared with all the neighbors. Now, here we are again, and no one is ready. San Diego had a black out for 2 days, and people were not ready for something so simple. People stuck on the freeway with no gas, no water because it takes electricity to pump water..so it was contaminated. Money is nothing, when you cannot buy anything because ELECTRICITY is how registers work. Get YOUR water today, have your flashlights, shoes close to your bed. A backpack of clothes, canned foods, compass, in case you need to leave. Store your tents in your trunk. Never water, the plastic becomes poisonous in the heat. Stock up on matches, solar panel decoration lights for lights in the house. Solar battery, propane for your camping stove, camping can opener, and medical supplies in a backpack. LANDLINES are good for emergencies, landlines are on a completely separate communication lines than cells.. Cell phone towers get overloaded and you are unable to get through to loved ones. When YOU are in a place of KAOS, no one thinks of nothing but themselves to survive. Make sure you have a plan on where to meet, in case there is no communication going through. Make a map of YOUR travel way ahead of time away from the freeways, which will be jammed back. Just be prepared TODAY, and you will not regret it. Remember, YOUR children are counting on YOU to keep them alive.
