AREA 5, I miss you. Word cannot even begin to justify the amount of bittersweet pain and bliss Im currently feeling. It has been one audacious and crazy year, but I could not feel more blessed. Thank you for accepting me into your fierce, passionate, and loving family. Thank you all for being you. We have stood side by side through our times of victory and defeat. We have shared our equal laughs and tears, our unique secrets and threats, and in this seemingly endless process, we were able to build a place we can ALWAYS call our home— AREA 5. I remember to this day the introductory post I made months ago. I cried while typing it and nothing has changed as I am still crying while I type my last post on this beautiful one-of-a-kind family. I am forever indebted to every single one of you, because without you, I would not be the person I am today. From your inspiring cheers and roars at FLC, to your incredible spirit in all your works- you have inspired me to become a better person. We are the one and only, Legendary Lions. We are never going to cease to exist. Each smile, tears, laughs, and cheers weve had as Legendary Lions will forever remain our hearts- engraved in our minds and souls. We will never forget the love that has been shared throughout this family and beyond. And if we find that one day, we begin to lose sight of what has truly made us- all we have to do is close our eyes and remember the moments that have made us who we are today. For even though we may be blind of the challenges that riddle our future, we will NEVER be alone in this vast world- for every single hand will never be left alone; for even though we may be distances away, we are only as far as our hearts will allow us to be. I once said eleven months and fifteen days ago, that I felt as if it was a “dream” to be your Area 5 Director. And to be honest, it still does feel like a dream. A dream that is so vivid that I remember it as if it began yesterday, this is a dream that I WILL NEVER FORGET. I am so honored to have had the opportunity to serve as your Area 5 Director for the 2013-2014 year, and I am even more grateful that I was given the chance be in the hands of such a caring and loving Area such as yourselves. Thank you for all the hard work, pride, passion, and inspiration you have put into making the 2013-2014 year one that befits the legacy of our prodigious Area. Without further ado, your 2014-2015 Area 5 Director is Justine Nicole Sarmiento! It is near impossible to explicitly state my gratitude and feelings of bliss as I leave Area 5 in her hands. I have no doubt that she will surpass me in all works of Area Director to bring Area 5 to heights greater than any that has been seen before. Her vision is unlike any other and her passion is as tall as the world can be. Please give her the same respect, love, and dedication that you all so graciously gave to me. And as my last and final order as the king of the world and the one and only Legendary Lions... SHOW THE WORLD WHAT AREA 5 IS TRULY CAPABLE OF. Dreams are meant to be dreamt further than the eyes can perceive. Love all of you Legendary Lions to the ends of the world and back, Lion King over & out ^_^
