ARETHA FRANKLIN - Born March 25, 1942 in Memphis, moved to Detroit at age 4. Known as The Queen of Soul, she sings RnB, Jazz, Soul,and Gospel. She began her professional career at age 14, has won 20 Grammys has sold 75 million albums. She was the first female inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, received a medal at the Kennedy Center Honors in 1994, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005 and is listed #1 on Rolling Stones Greatest Singers of All Time.
