ARISE! GO OVER. July 9, 2012 at 5:26am TEXT: JOSHUA: 1:1-2 God said to Joshua arise and go over. That means, Joshua was not in the posture that he was supposed to be. He was mourning the death of Moses, a mighty man of God; together with the Nation of Israel. For the most part, Moses before his death dominated the political arena as well as the spiritual sphere of Israel. Then Moses died. When Moses died Israel was taken aback and she was morning; but God came to Joshua and declared to him enough of mourning I want to do a new thing; I want to open a new Chapter in the life of Israel. Let this mourning be over, ARISE! GO OVER THIS JORDAN. Friends, I want you to know that as we have started the second half of 2012, God wants to do a new thing in our lives individually; but also HIS entire Church. God is calling us to arise and go over the disappointments, trials and difficulties. You may have concluded the first six months of the year that all is lost and you are mourning as the nation of Israel did for Moses; but God is saying to us enough of this now! It is your turn to arise and get over. The Word God gave to Joshua, a Hebrew word, was very significant to stir him up – ‘Abar’- meaning ‘to go over’ God is given us this same reminder here that we have been in one place of life for too long and this is our time to ‘Abar’ – in other words, to go over what we have thought too impossible for us. The word ‘Abar’ first occurred in the book of Genesis 8:1. The Bible says and God remembered Noah! God is remembering you this month. He will blow a Wind over your flood waters, to calm it. God is thinking about you for good and every flood in your life, by reason of the WORD OF GOD, shall recede and you shall go over your Jordan. When the wind blew, God remembered Noah; God shall bring every flood in your life to a receding level this second half of 2012 in the Might NAME of JESUS.
