ARMED POLICE DEPLOYED TO INCIDENT IN MABIE, DUMFRIES About 22.12 hours on Saturday 28th September 2013 Police Scotland received a report of an incident which had taken place at Mabie, on the outskirts of Dumfries. Armed and unarmed Police were deployed to maximise the safety of both the persons involved and the general public. During the incident guests attending a function within the nearby Mabie House Hotel were asked to remain within the premises to allow Police to fully control the situation. A 63 year old man has been detained and enquiries are ongoing.
