ARMED ROBBERY: On Friday, June 20, 2014 at approximately 12:42 AM, Officers responded to a robbery call at the BP, 3821 SW College Rd. Upon arrival they found that the suspects had already fled the store after being unsuccessful in obtaining any money, and that no one was injured as a result of the incident. Officer Jason Rodriguez was able to observe the surveillance video of the robbery from the store’s video system. He observed two white male subjects arrive from the north end of the business. The descriptions are as follows: The first subject that enters the store has something dark covering his face, a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes with white trimmings, and black fingerless gloves; he is approximately 5’9/5’10 with a thin build. Also, the first suspect had a sliver hand gun in his right hand, when entering the store. The second suspect is approximately 5’9/5’10 and heavy set, wearing an orange ski mask, a gray sleeveless shirt, black shorts, gray socks, gray sneakers with black trimmings and a dark color backpack. The clerk advised that she saw them approaching and was able to lock the cash drawer and duck under the counter. Upon approaching the counter the first suspect yelled at her to give him the money. The clerk told him that there was no money and that the register was closed. Shortly after, the suspects left the store empty handed and fled north. K-9 Officer Michelle Green and her K-9 partner Motuck established a track that ended in the 4000 block of SW 38th Ct. with no suspects being located. We are releasing the surveillance video in the hopes of receiving some assistance from the community in identifying and locating these suspects. Anyone with information on the identities and/or location of these suspects is asked to call Det. Jamie Buchbinder at 352-369-7141.
