Over the course of the last week, West Linn PD Officer Nick Amendolara has been working with Tigard PD Nyla Johnson to locate Murphy. Ofc. Amendolara, and they were able to identify Murphy as the suspect. Today, Ofc. Johnson located Murphy at a residence in the 8800 block of Spruce St. in Tigard. She notified Ofc. Amendolara who responded to Tigard and took him into custody. Sadly most of the important papers, photos, and the Bronze Star were not recovered. If you find any items of SSGT Tomes, you are asked to contact the WLPD at 503.635.0238 Murphy was lodged on 3 counts of Unlawful Entry into a Vehicle (UEMV) and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail. This case was resolved quickly with the assistance of the victim and the media said West Linn Police Chief Terry Timeus. Along with great inter-agency cooperation with Tigard PD, we appreciate Ofc. Johnsons assistance in helping solve these crimes. As a reminder, always lock your car, and keep valuables out of sight.
