ARREST OF AN ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT On Monday, November 21, 2013 at approximately 1:40 p.m. in the 16000 block of West Warren, the suspect described as a white male, 5’-7”, 160 lbs, entered the Dollar Discount Store, walked behind the counter, produced a weapon and demanded money from the cash register. He then escaped in a vehicle (black, 2000, Toyota Corolla). During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect was affiliated with a gang. Detroit Police Department’s Gang Intelligence Surveillance Transit (G.I.S.T.) continued the investigation and arrested the suspect on Tuesday, 11/26/13. A weapon was recovered, as well as the vehicle believed to have been used in commission of the armed robbery. Stand up and speak up Detroit. We can’t do this without you.
