ARSENAL FAILURE IS DOWN TO WENGERS DECISION. First of all, I want to start by saying that calling a spade a spade is not the equivalent of being negative. His decision not to sign striker in january cost him most if not all the timeless defeats surffered unexpectedly. I am tired of hearing about Arsenal’s failures to win a trophy as well but it is hard to ignore these painful reminders that keep cropping up every now and then. There is a system to our failure to win silverware. There is a pattern we always follow that leads us right back to where we find ourselves every end of season. The specialist as he was called, refuses to do all that is required to finally get us there. He does do something, but he never does enough. No he will not loan a striker in January.out of strikers in the whole world,No loan deal,No permanent deal at the end of the day.this unserious man will just go around from one club to the other negotiating before transfer window is open, hoping he is desperate to sign the required players.but choses to wait untill deadline day and at the end,the opened transfer window will closed without no signing, except those that are not useful to ther clubs, and that will walk in to the emirate free of charge. He has no Plan B either, If Giroud is tired, keep playing him. If Ozil is exhausted, play him some more. We lack width in our games. Everybody knows that. Against Bayern, Wenger finally got it right, maybe by accident and he played Chamberlain on the right wing and a young but mobile striker up top. The result was that until we got that red card, we played our best game against the best team in the world since our 2-1 win against Barcelona a few years ago. The game before that at Liverpool was equally electrifying and we won it. So Chamberlain is back, providing exactly that talismanic run, finishing, speed and getting behind defenses that Walcot offers us when he is fit. Oxlade has played a few games since he has been back and made the difference. So against Stoke, what does Wenger do? He benches our freshest and best offensive player who is also our only true winger of consequence. And then he fields three number tens who just sit in the middle of the park passing the ball around aimlessly. It was so easy for Stoke to defend against us because our pattern of play is so predictable and pathetic. So we created next to nothing. Giroud was firmly in Stoke’s pocket. Yes he was fouled repeatedly and the referee couldn’t have been bothered- surprise surprise – but why did Wenger continue to play Giroud when he was clearly not working out in this game? Our game did not come alive until Chamberlain came in with twenty minutes to go. And when he was on the pitch, he was our best player. He worked that magic that only a true winger can and created our best chances. So why oh why did Wenger leave him on the bench until it was too late? Why? Oh, I know why. We all do. It is because at the critical moment, Arsene Wenger screws it up. That is what he does. Against Manchester United two season ago, Arsene Wenger substituted Oxlade Chamberlain, our best player on the day who had created our only goal of the match for Van Persie to put away. And who did Wenger replace Ox with? Andrei Arshavin, our worst player at the time. For how long are we going to keep defending this man? Wenger knows best eh? Does he? Nine years without a trophy and counting… Like most of you, I am tired. We have seen this movie before, over and over again. There have been times when I swore never to care again, but it is hard to ignore the club you love when we are so close to greatness. If we were a mid-table team, nobody will expect anything from us. But we are not. We led the league for over half the season. We had chances to do the necessary deals that will enable us finish up the job. But as always, Wenger cocked it up. It is hard to hear pundits predict an Arsenal demise, even when we are topping the league. It is hard but deep within, we all know the reason for their cynicism. It is because Wenger never fails to disappoint. Never. They all know that. Wenger has been doing it for nine years and has become rather good at it. He lacked ambition like his formal player said. And recently, somebody called him a specialist in failure. What does he has, to prove them wrong?
