ARTISTS STATEMENT: i have finally decided not to include myself in the art system consisting of retail, art press and museum (and attendant social-political identifications) and to rather use what the big guys, internationally, are using to craft the world with and gather all of that dough for use, distribution and further crafting. what was yesterday a fairly pleasant experience and the new methods after the castles to the towns, burgs, villages, cities, enclaves and the like (romeo and juliet, shakespeare) of distribution for goods and services has become something else. thats a main topic or at least undercurrent of thought today and anybody who is honest knows there is something wrong with the development pattern. it does organize. it does order. it does support. the hell of retail, and the culture of having no other place to go for people to spend their time is one that all people if they are honest can attest to. it is unnerving. it is a destination. it is a stress and strain amongst strangers doing the same that we become addicted to, including myself. however, restaurants, hotels and resorts, spas and a few other services such as bowling and baseball and golf and the like are what give people real succor and real life to their experiences. any art sales that i do from this medium, this tool, this experience, this system, will include also the investing of the 40 to 60% that would have gone to retail maintenance into ventures given to what i conclude are more towards a less desensitizing, ill-health causing, environmentally sound, and ethical process than we are now in full swing with and subjugation to and that which obviusly will be continuuing into the foreseeable future (i.e., dont fight it its a waste of time rather act towards other goals) and put into a trust for a group or groups or the individuals having purchases the art.
