ARUM IS ODD MAN OUT AGAIN, PACQUIAO & ROACH BOTH WILLING TO FIGHT MAYWEATHER ON MAY 2ND Last month Top Rank Head Honcho Bob Arum shot down Floyd Mayweathers plans to fight Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd. It seemed Arum apparently found some morals within himself, saying that he wont let Floyd poach the Cinco De Mayo date from the Mexican fighters, in turn adding another monumental road block to the mega-fight. After Arum reviled he wasnt willing to work with Mayweather on the May 2nd date, Pacquiaos trainer Freddie Roach, stated that the May 2nd day worked for him and Manny. Fast forward to yesterday, Manny Pacquiao also confirmed he was ready and willing to fight May 2nd as well. Pacquiao told ABS-CBN News - “Of course if he wanted the May 2 date, that is no problem,” Pacquiao said. “It’s beautiful that we’re talking now. We’ve never had that before.” Considering both fighters are ready and willing to fight May 2nd, maybe a public outcry should be directed at the one guy who can make or break this fight, Bob Arum, rather than both fighters who appear ready and willing!
