ARWEY Awards: I felt myself resistant or hesitant or reluctant… I had been nominated to receive an AWARD and as the date got closer I almost did not attend. I had thoughts like: Who am I to get an award recognizing my work as an ENTREPRENEUR and COMMUNITY LEADER? After all here I am, FINALLY at the threshold of my heart’s offering to humanity and in so many ways I feel like I’ve done so little up to this point. I admitted these thoughts to some friends and when Kristie Siegel said… “OH YES, you have indeed done so much!” the voices in my head stopped, the doubts, the part of me that is constantly striving and reaching to be more stopped and recognized all I HAVE DONE. I have been working with people professionally for 18 years (omg!) to help them feel safe in their own skin, open their hearts, see and accept themselves more fully, and create more connection, intimacy and more fulfilling relationships. I also have been working ON myself diligently just as long, learning, healing, growing, refining, discovering, embodying my wholeness more and more. Going to the *American Riviera Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards* to receive the CIRCLE OF LIGHT Award for women entrepreneurs & community leaders was a powerfully POSITIVE experience. I am beyond thrilled that I was invited and attended. Thank you Scott Catamas and Diana for the nomination and to the whole organization for the honorable recognition. Tia Walker has created a masterpiece in which women are able to be seen, heard, and celebrated for their impact and wisdom. The panel discussion topic was on “SOFT POWER” and what the 7 or so women on stage shared were all aspects of the initiations I have experienced as a woman, a mother, a leader, a partner, a lover, a spiritual being. Our “Soft Power” that lets us lead from our heart with a precision and strength that inspires and uplifts. As I stepped on the STAGE to receive my award…. which included my own special TIARA with hearts on it, flowers, two gift bags of goodies and incredible new additions to my soul family and community… I took a deep breath and prayed that I say that which would serve this room full of people the most. (btw… this is my FAV way to prepare!) Prior to my turn, several women spoke about shifting from scarcity to abundance… and what emerged from my mouth was that my new platform: INTIMACY INSIDER: is in support of shifting from separation to CONNECTION, from lack of love to abundance of self acceptance, self love and confidence. (there is a video below of the first half of my lil speech before my phone stop recording!) I gave voice to the needs we all universally seek to be met and I saw tears well up, hearts soften, shoulders relax. So many people came up to me with gratitude and huge warm hugs after, those moments were so beautiful. It reminded me of when I was a professional mascot and the kids would run up to me with glee and joy and when we would hug both of us would cry! Two things rang true for me… 1. We are really doing it. We, women and men are living more fully every day and sharing this with each other. I so celebrate this. 2. What I do, know, offer and am… is so very important to share. I am one of the pieces of the puzzle and just like the woman who I met there and is going to coach me on some important things for my business, was an ANSWER to my prayers.... what I offer is an answer to another’s prayers. I have SO many teachers, friends, reflections, to THANK for everything. I have tagged and included many of you that have been lights on my path and that are deep in my heart... THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
