AS IT CAME TO MY MIND POETRY & READER –II The syntax in a poem - TopicsExpress

AS IT CAME TO MY MIND POETRY & READER –II The syntax in a poem is hardly discursive as the control of words is the control of experience; it opens the subject of the poem in a specific design of words, a poet chooses. When language is chosen semantically it evolves a series of conflicts between the denotative and connotative word expressions. Sometimes it so happens that the primary senses of the words almost disappear in their derived meanings and associations. It is the tendency of poets to push the words little beyond their normal meanings. Of course the connexions and sequence should be uninterrupted in the structure of a poem. The readers resort to elegant variations in the techniques of poets. Poetry in its origin is a genre of art equivalent to painting. Concrete poesy is an entirely visual fine art written in the association of words and images in symbolic form. This poetic architecture was exhibited in the archive in Miami Beach way back in 1979 by Ruth and Marvin Sackner of Florida as genetic parents of visual poetry. The imagistic and experimental poetry differs from the conventional mode of writing poetry. Poetry enforces for a literal reading preventing tautology to find out its function as natural interpretation. Poets have endeavoured to make his utterance meaningful in their word order, its main aim is poetical pleasure and sometimes scholars don’t realize it. The reader should perceive the significance of the poem in its relation to life. The pageantry of words may lose its significance when we are in the habit of giving too hard a poetic justice in our own way of thinking. The readers support a poetic edifice not to lose the art in their over critical views. Of course poetry has been treated as healing as the music of soul, there is music latent in every poem. Words are always beautiful in poetry whether it depicts joy or sorrow. Poems move from motive to emotion to generate the same feelings among the readers by depicting a universal truth. When we worry about the form and the content we miss its aesthetic delight. The core of a poem is inseparable from the thoughts in the inner circling of mind and its expressions, intuition and feelings in suitable syntax. Indeed life itself is a poem to listen to the inner voice of truth. Poems are nothing but the songs of freedom turning into a symbol of life. It is an identification of the human drama. It is the weakness of human to go for poetry to express your sufferings, to find similar hearts to understand your feelings, your thoughts, to relieve you from agony, to heal you from wounds of life, to appeal to the conscience of the world and ultimately it makes you a traveller to march from darkness to light. POETRY!!! I am unfolded like a bud of morn Worthy to be called as a flower, My fragrance, I didn’t know at night The honey in me, the bees starve for, Bear the petals so lovely for eyes The spring finds a name for me And the winter in doleful tears, Why and how I am created The truth you fail to reason! I bloom where there is a sun Relish eyes so sweetly thirsty, I may fall like a star in the dark New buds will become flowers Sparkle in beauty in bowers.
