AS Vita will struggle against Chiefs CAF Champions League AS Vita will struggle against Kaizer Chiefs at night DR Congo-born journalist Christopher Bongo believes AS Vita will struggle to play against Kaizer Chiefs at night in their CAF Champions League match at Soccer City on Saturday. The game between Amakhosi and Vita will kick off at 19h00. The Phefeni Glamour Boys are currently trailing 3-0 after being beaten 3-0 by the Congolese in Kinshasa last Sunday. Bongo, however, believes Amakhosi will triumph in the return leg. Chiefs will win this one, Bongo tells KickOff. They are technically and physically better than AS Vita. Kaizer Chiefs are also physically fitter than their opponents. AS Vita will also struggle playing in the high altitude in Johannesburg as compared with the one in Kinshasa, which is more of a coastal city. Playing the game at night is also a huge favour for Chiefs because Vita dont play their games at night, he adds. Chiefs number one goalkeeper Itumelang Khune is expected to miss out against Vita as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. Amakhosi seemed to miss Khunes leadership in the first-leg defeat. Chiefs need to forget about the game in DR Congo and treat this match as their first game. They also need a leader that will talk to the young keeper [Reyaad Pieterse] and that can also talk to a player like [Bernard] Parker and [Knowledge] Musona when the chips are down, says Bongo. Both Musona and Parker need to get behind the defence … [Yeye] Letsholonyane and [Willard] Katsande need to be robust and bully in the midfield whilst both Morgan Gould and [Tefu] Mashamaite need to protect the young keeper. The Chiefs fans should fill the stadium by the time the teams go out for the warm-up session and try to create an intimidating atmosphere at the stadium, otherwise many Congolese fans based in South Africa will be coming to the stadium in big numbers, he adds.
