ASHAFA POWERS BUSINESS: MEET THE WINNERS/BENEFICIARIES The Ashafa Powers Business Online Competition for SMEs was held from September 3 – 17, 2014. Over fifty applications were received and after a series of thorough evaluation and assessment processes, I am pleased to announce our winners and beneficiaries. 1. Obi Omotayo Alowonle, Male, runs an educational consultancy outfit that specializes in training and retraining on packaging and repositioning of mushroom private schools to make them more relevant and competitive in a 21st century education sector. His reason for going online is to reach a wider clientele base, especially in the suburbs of Lagos, and make them realize that small or cheap is not synonymous with lack of quality. 2. Chris Onaivi Ekuafeh, Male, is the owner of KLAYSPOTS, a creative art-based company engaged in the provision of interior design options with made in Nigeria ceramic/pottery ware and uniquely designed metal/iron construction works for gates, furniture and the likes. His reason for going online is to create and bring more awareness to the vastness of the creative nature of the Nigerian youth whilst still promoting Nigerian art. 3. Taoreed Hakeem Babajide, Male, is the proprietor of TBT Foods – a sole proprietorship in the fast foods sub-sector established since 2012. He has been managing to meet up with high standards of services rendered and also overcome economic challenges. His business is also listed in the directories of vconnect and hellofood.ng 4. Mercy Agbro, female, has a business that involves the creation and sale of custom art walls and ideas for private and public spaces. Her company is also involved in art and craft training with bias for children aged 4-16 yrs. 5. Adebisi Alogba, female, has been running Moyameen Enterprises quite profitably. Her business value chains spans the gamut of selling, delivery and provision of customized cooling services for wines and drinks. Her event planning skills are also quite admirable. Watch the online space for the launch of their portals soon. It promises to revolutionize their various businesses.
