ASHLAND BOY HOME FROM EUROPE. Alphonse Guyotte MoMM1/c of the U.S Navy is enjoying a thirty days. Leave with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dona Guyotte after twenty months’ service overseas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in October 1944 and received his training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center and was shipped overseas December 1944. He was assigned to a ship’s co. but after his ship was sunk he was assigned to a land base at Exeter, Devonshire, England. Following his leave he will report to Boston for further assignment. >The Ashland Citizen, August 16, 1945.
