ASIC Implementation Engineer - Berkshire, UK Key tasks / responsibilities : Take ownership for the logical implementation of a customer design from RTL through to tapeout. This does not include hands-on physical design work, but the candidate must be aware of physical layout challenges and be familiar working closely with the layout team to resolve problems (specifically timing closure) to deliver a high quality tapeout in the fastest time. Close working with Customer Key skills / Background : - 1st or 2.1 Electronics, Physics or relevant subject from a Tier 1 group University or equiv. - 5-10 years experience in industry with a track record of several successful ASIC tapeouts, - Good knowledge of the complete ASIC design flow and associated tools and methodologies to deliver working silicon. - Specific skills in synthesis, simulation, STA, DFT, formal verification and timing closure. - Knowledge of the following Synopsys tools : - Design Compiler - PrimeTime - Formality - Tetramax - Strong VHDL/Verilog coding skills - Some verification knowledge - this role does not require specialist verification skills ( e.g. OVM) but the candidate should have good working knowledge of verification methods and simulation.
