ASK THE BOSS Edition 017/070714 Introduction: This is ASK THE BOSS, onIine and on air. I bring you greetings from our On-Air Handler, Maksat Dalaham. Today, I wish to dwell on just one entry, and our pick is that sent in by MR. JAMES CHRISTOPHER who resides at FGC Staff Quarters, Kwali-Abuja! 2.0 Now, lets hear it for him: Hello Big Boss, Mr. Christopher begins, Please permit me to use this platform once again to express my feelings because there is proverb that says problem shared is problem solved. But before I proceed, let me also use this platform to congratulate you and the entire BUSH HOUSE GROUP management on your eleventh anniversary on air coming up on 26th July, 2014 here in Abuja. I pray that the good lord that has been with you all these years will continue to strengthen and reward you for all the humanitarian services you offer to the masses. Now, THE BOSS, I have a friend who always tells me that I cannot make it here in Nigeria because of such factors as unemployment, rejection, insecurity, strikes, corruption and emotional stress confronting us as a nation on daily bases. I always retort that Nigeria is the land flowing with milk and honey; but troubled by corruption. That friend finally had the opportunity to travel to one of the Asian countries. He has been there for six years now. Please Sir, should I follow the same step because age is no longer on my side or should I continue to pray and fast? Finally, when would I become what God told me I will be in life? I thank you again. 3.0 MY TAKE: My dear Mr. Christopher, many thanks for all the wonderful sentiments you have expressed about our little efforts. And for those anniversary wishes. You may not know it, but truth to tell, people like you who appreciate our small input coax us to aim to do more. We shall do more, by His grace. To your friend, next. Corruptionist Nigerians and some of us out of helplessness say all sorts of things against Nigeria but you know what, Nigeria is more than such Nigerians. Our country is better than our people. Our country, left on her own, is clean, beautiful, wealthy, and unique. Tell these Nigerians to stop insulting Nigeria, because as a matter of fact, it is they who defile this great nation. Let me even say it the way it should be: it is Nigeria that should insult Nigerians for our corruptibility. If Nigeria were blessed with a better population, no country in the West, let alone in Africa or all of the Third World, would have seen her brake lights within the context of development, modernity, sanity and such other contemporary indices. But, no, the beautiful bride ended up with ugly, inhuman grooms who have not resisted the animalistic urge of raping her, day and night. From the foregoing, Mr. James Christopher, I know you know that I disagree, completely and totally, with your Asia-based friend. His puerile pessimism (that you cannot make it here in Nigeria) is in bad taste; because as the Aliko Dangotes, the Mike Adenugas, the Jim Ovias, the Tony Elumelus, (name them) have proved, clean and clear, Nigeria has produced home-grown billionaires. So, what negative hasty generalisations is your friend spreading against Nigeria? Or does he need to be reminded that from that part of the world where he has run to, many people have relocated here just so their ends can meet? Bottom line: Stay here; but work hard, pray more and trust God to favour you with increase. I pray that you become the next multi-millionaire in Nigeria so that you can rescue and bring back our girls; sorry, bring back your friend to rehabilitate him. God bless Nigeria! Conclusion: Wow. Awesome; even if I say so myself. I love that response. Nigeria is the only country we have. Therefore, no one, not even a Nigerian, should mess with her; without attracting our wrath. Enough of Nigerians bad-mouthing Nigeria. In the name of God, Allah, Abasi, Olorun/Oluwa, Chineke, enough of our own people poking fun at our own country. This country deserves a better deal from our people, from our leaders, from you, from me. The campaign to rescue Nigeria from Nigerians has begun. Next edition, please. God bless Nigeria! ...B
