Posted: Jul 21, 2014 2:40 AM EDT Updated: Jul 21, 2014 6:22 AM EDT By Stefanie Quaal - email TOWNVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) - The Highway Patrol said it is investigating after a woman was hit and killed by a teenager near Townville in Oconee County. Trooper Tony Keller said a car was traveling on West Oak Highway, near the intersection of Coneross Creek and Hunts Roads Sunday night, when a 16-year-old driver hit the woman from behind. The coroner said the 29-year-old Seneca woman was walking back from a friends house around 11:30 p.m. when she was struck. She died on the scene. Her name has not yet been released. No charges have been filed at this time. That crash remains under investigation.
