ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER (Shah Alam) Responsibilities: Provide service to the Group Companies, assisting with business strategy on a variety of business support and financial related topics. Analyze and understand the divisions financial results and provide concrete suggestions for improvement. Manage all aspects of corporate financial business processes in compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws and regulations. Manage and prepare business plan, periodic cost and productivity analyses on the same to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines. Perform special job-related management financial reports as needed. Ability to identify and escalate financial and business concerns to management. Communicate and enforce established finance and accounting standards. Provide corporate risk management strategies, policies and procedures and ensure that it is aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Provide independent view regarding proposed business plans and transaction. Work with management team to develop strategic plan, operational plan and assist with development of financial budget. Work as business partner to other divisions on all business initiatives with respect to financial-related matters, including but not limited to financial modelling, expense planning and etc. Enhance the financial capabilities and business skills of the finance department through appropriate guidance and instruction. Oversee periodic preparation and presentation of reports to regional head office, board of directors. To support the establishment of new legal entities and obtaining the necessary licenses. To discuss with the relevant authorities/Government to grant or secure incentives for the Group Companies. To support liquidation process of the group of companies (if any). Participates in the identification and resolution of group projects and issues. Resolve complex issues and problems as needed. Requirements: Bachelor degree in Finance or Accountancy with professional qualification in Accounting, Finance preferably those with working experience in MNC. Minimum 15 years of relevant corporate finance exposure with at least 8 years in a managerial position. Familiar with computerized accounting system/software. A member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)/ACCA/CPA is essential. Certified Company Secretary would be added advantage. Strong business sense with good analytical, problem solving skills. Good financial knowledge and hands on with international business exposure. Proven track record in international business acquisitions will be an added advantage. Organized and detailed-oriented with the ability to interact numbers and technical information effectively. Display positive leadership and intercommunication skills.
