ASSISTANT VALUER ROLE: To assist in providing the client’s firm with comprehensive and high quality property advice, expertise, valuations and estate management to ensure that the firm’s clients realize financial returns, regeneration schemes and the very best outcomes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Deal with the management of land and property in which the firm, either directly or Indirectly, has a legal or equitable interest, to include but not exclusive to: Leases, agreements, licences, wayleaves, rights of way, easements, etc. 2. Conduct complex negotiations for the acquisition and/or disposal of all types of legal and equitable interests in or relating to land and property, both by agreement and under compulsory purchase or other powers. 3. Undertake complex valuations and surveys of all types of properties 4. Furnish valuation and property advice in relation to the work of the firm, including advice to Directors and colleagues. 5. Deputize for the Strategic Property, Estates and Valuation Services Manager, and other Qualified staff, as necessary or directed. 6. Adopt a corporate attitude to work and promote and maintain good employer/employee relations and encourage a corporate attitude with all staff within the team. 7. To maintain an up to date knowledge of all technical and legislative changes in the service area, and to liaise with the Strategic Property Estates and Valuation Services Manager in advising the Corporate Director of Regeneration and the firm of all significant relevant changes and implications. 8. Generally undertake and be responsible for any other duties that may be specifically allocated from time to time within the overall responsibility level of the post.
