ASTROPHYSICS - The XMASS collaboration, led by Yoichiro Suzuki at Kavli IPMU, has reported the latest results from their search for dark matter, the mysterious substance that seems to make up a quarter of the universe but has yet to be directly observed. The results rule out the possibility that one specific theoretical type of dark matter, called the Bosonic super-WIMP, could constitute all of the dark matter in the universe. Further experiments should clarify whether any fraction of dark matter is made of these Bosonic super-WIMPs. Learn more in the press release below and in this Q&A with Suzuki, Kavli IPMU Director Hitoshi Murayama and Kavli IPMU Deputy Director Hiroaki Aihara: kavlifoundation.org/science-spotlights/tokyo-kavli-ipmu-roundtable
