ASUU STRIKE LATEST:The Academic Staff Union of Universities has insisted that its members willnot suspend their 3-month-oldstrike until the federal government meets its demand. The Kano Zonal Coordinator ofASUU, Rabiu’ Nasiru, disclosedthis in Kano when he addressedjournalists on Wednesday. Hesaidthe lecturers would continue with the strike for as long asthe federal government fails toimplement the 2009agreement.Mr. Nasiru accused the BenueStateGovernor, Gabriel Suswam, ofhaving a ‘selfish interest’ duringthe time he led the federalgovernment’s negotiation team.
