ASUU STRIKE TAKES ANOTHER DIMENSION.------2015 DRAWS NEARER. STUDENTS MAY DECIDE WHO DESERVE THEIR VOTE. GEJ or ???? The FG and (GEJ) the acclaimed graduate president with Ph.D who doesnt want the youths of this generation to excel through education, have no concern and totally lost focus as to how an uneducated society will be. keeping home our student colleague for over four month period in the name of strike regarding so little amount of money which many have long diverted to their personal account. The requested amount mind you is in favour of over 10million students, yet the FG in its effort to tarnish the image of Nigeria education sector decided to keep mute. The long silence still takes another dimension even after the prolonged 13 hours marathon meeting between the Graduate president with Ph.D and ASUU leaders last night at the 1st ladies lounge in Aso Rock...what a lost of dignity and a slap on our leaders. May Allah save our able youths who have so much to give this country. Already some parents who feel the education sector is gone beyond rebuild have started sending their children to a neighbouring country just to secure the so called meal ticket (1st Degree). Just imagine a case of sending your child to GHANA...please for the sake of argument go to GHANA and see how many Nigerian students are trooping in annually. It is just the case of NIGERIA LOSSES, GHANA GAINS. when did Ghana had better education than Nigeria? when did TOGO had better education than Nigeria? probably within the 4 month strike. Our graduate president has totally lost focus considering the case of coming face 2 face just once in 4 months with the ASUU leaders. All that was on his mind is HOW and WHAT to do against 2015. nPDP, and their crises, with a section of committees all over his affairs including a committee on when and what time to see his wife. The children of the poor are subjected to suffer the strike, insecurity is on the rise in all section of the country which is no doubt had connection with youths staying idle at home. My fellow students in the struggle, I urge you to calmly gather strength and lost no hope, be optimist enough and courageous, time wasted in the past shall never be your portion In sha Allah. As we yet again await the decision of our heartless so called leaders in both ASUU AND FG, with prayers and courage we will face the future as it comes to pass. Do not forget, THE TIME YOU WASTED AT HOME IS NO DOUBT PART OF WHAT JONATHAN CALLED FRESH AIR in his bid for re-election late 2011. the air I feel is no longer fresh as it used to be. Great students in the struggle, hope is not lost, we still could rise from zero to surplus, form where we are to where we should be, from home back to school....but do not forget to decide WHO REALLY DESERVE YOUR VOTE COME 2015. I believe GEJ will come again with his slogan of FRESH AIR...this time remind yourself that it is no longer fresh but 1 full year University strike + cancellation of secondary schools. May God save our youths, Universities and Nigeria as a nation. May Allah enrich us with good leaders who have the zeal of improving our lives educationally, morally, physically, economically and other wise. YOURS IN THE STRUGGLE Liman A.
