ASUU and FG Meeting Ends, President Disagrees, Says Strike Must End Today!! Like 30 At lat the meeting between the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities has come to and end today 4th November, 2013. A lot of had been said about this meeting and we were hoping to hear good news thatASUU 2013 STRIKE HAS BEEN CALLED OFF!But as always, they (ASUU and FG) are suffering from _____ (please fill in the space with your own words.) The overrated November 4th meeting between the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU and the President started first with the Senate president David Mark. In his statement, he introduced that he was asked by the president to meet with ASUU as the intervention was to sort out problems that has long kept our student out of school. (the president is not there in person?) The senate president continued saying that the Federal Government have begged ASUU to return to classroom while the government sort out the problems amicably. (Just like the promised in 2009. you think ASUU are as s.t.u.p.i.d as the F.G?) One of the ASUU Members in the meeting told newsmen while on break that, members of the ASUU are not just lecturers but a government of their own and would not be intimidate by any body. To ASUU- if you are government of your own, why do you rely on another government to provide funds for you? Or am I missing something here? The ASUU member says they are fighting for the future of our dear students and nation urging the F.G to implement the agreement that was signed since 2009. While report this new, we heard that the meeting between the Senate president and ASUU ended around 6.00 pm Nigeria Time without any reasonable conclusion. But the good news is that the president himself is now in another closed door meeting with ASUU saying that the strike must end today or else the plan ‘B’ will be implemented. You remembered Plan ‘B’ abi? We are hoping that this strike end today and the Nigerian Students should return to School! There is only one way to find out if ASUU strike has been called off… Until the F.G and ASUU meeting ends… And you will be the first to read about the outcome here. Meanwhile, let us end this post with the words of the President
