AT&T ROCKS!!! Allow me to tell my FB Friends why this is so. Last night my cell phone died. The kicker? I am eligible for an upgrade in 4 months so I am not willing to buy a new phone. This morning I was on the computer all morning figuring out my options. They seem few. I am out of warranty and I do not have insurance. My best bet is to pay the $175.00 early termination fee and go elsewhere but I decide to stop by the AT&T store first, just to see what they can do. Matthew, the associate helping me, gets onto his computer and concurs that things look fairly bleak. He finally tells me that if I call the support line (they are one tier up) they may be able to help. I use their phone. Mine is broke. I get a nice guy name Kamden. I tell him my sad story. I hear his keyboard tapping and he says, "William, May I be totally honest?" I am waiting for him to say there is nothing they can do. Instead . . . "You are, honestly, one of the BEST customers I have EVER seen." Seriously. I was flabbergasted. Apparently not being high maintenance and always paying on time got noted into my file. Anyway, he says, "If I can put you on hold so I can check with my manager I MAY be able to get you an early upgrade." A few moments later he gets back on and tells me that they can give me the full upgrade four months early, no problem. I totally did not see that coming. There are several lessons there but mostly . . . AT&T ROCKS!!!
