AT THE FEET OF THE RABBI DAILY DEVOTIONAL 7TH SEPTEMBER 2014 THE STRATEGY OF THE ENEMY “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”. Matthew 10:16. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”. 1 Peter 5:8. These are strong words used in these two verses. The first by Jesus and the second through Peter. I liken them to red light signs to prepare us for what to expect in our day to day lives. You see, one of the biggest challenges believers face today is how to make the gospel practical in their day to day lives. It is not knowledge of the word but the ability to make it practical daily. The devil, the adversary is on the go daily looking for whom to devour and we fight him daily in our thoughts, the things we hear, the things we believe and the things that happens in and around us. These scriptures are given to equip us to win this daily battle. If we must win the battle, then we should first agree and understand that we have a constant battle on this earth and it is mostly a battle against our faith. The enemy realizes that faith is a potent force given to us to defeat the devil. It is an offensive and defensive weapon for victory over every situation and thus, what he does it to attack our faith with thoughts, impressions and events and if he can get us out of faith, he takes the day. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1John 5:4. We are the ones born of God asbelievers and faith is our weapon to overcome. Let me ask you, why do you think you battle with thoughts of “can this thing be done for me?”. The truth is it is difficult to find a believer that doubts God’s ability (that is why we are believers), the problem usually comes in when it is a question whether He will do it for us. Any barren woman knows that God can give a barren woman a child but the problem is, “Will He give to me also?”. This undeserving mindset that knocks off our faith and lake us pray double mindedly as if God is partial towards us is the strategy of the enemy to rob us of our rights in Christ Jesus. Read this scriptures aloud now, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us”. 2 Cor 1:20. This means that in Christ Jesus, God never says no to what Christ have paid for. Christ paid with His blood so your prayers can be answered at all times; this is the gospel. Christ went to the cross so you can live a healthy life; this is the gospel. Christ forsook the riches in heaven so He can bring you prosperity here in earth; this is the gospel. Christ paid for all you lack today and you can receive it all if you will guard your faith and say to the devil, “I am sober and vigilant and I know that you are trying to talk me out of faith with this doctor’s report, text message of rejection, calls of badnews and all the others stuffs you has been throwing into my mind but I refuse to let you win. I refuse to walk in fear, Jesus paid for this victory and I will receive it all in His name and then hold your ground. The devil is already a loser looking for who to make a loser like him but you are a winner in Christ Jesus. Rise up on your feet right now and begin to declare your victory in every area of your life that is not working as it should. Do it now. Speak to your calling, ministry, job, finance, marriage, business, children and all that pertains to you. Use your faith and win again. I see you dancing before the end of this month in Jesus name.
