ATA team calls on Education Minister ITANAGAR, Jul 23: The members of Central Executive Committee of Arunachal Teachers Association (ATA) led by its president N R Tam today called on Education Minister Tapang Taloh and submitted representation demanding restoration of 50 percent promotional avenue of Assistant Teachers and Junior Teacher. ATA members also demanded for framing of modalities and scope for teachers and education officers under Director of Elementary Education. During the meeting various issues were also discussed such as illegal promotion of teachers, halting of single window transfer policy and rectification of various recruitment rules of teachers and officers, a release said. Meanwhile the minister has assured to streamline the department and sought cooperation from the teaching fraternity for effective functioning, it added.
