ATHLETE RECOVERY YOGA sessions will be starting Monday September 16th at 7.30pm. There will also be another session during the week, mid morning, time tbc due to demand. Geared towards low / moderate intensity training days and injured athletes. Some key benefits to the class will be: *Reduced recovery time *Increased agility and mobility *Improved co-ordination and balance *Stronger shoulders and knees by increasing circulation to the joints, tendons and connecting muscles *Improved alignment, reducing imbalances that can lead to problems with the IT Band (Gluteus Medius and TFL) through to the hips, lower back & down to the knees and ankles. *Increased flexibility in the hamstrings, preventing injury and improving stride and strength *Increased stamina - improving endurance on a physical and emotional level *Imagery and meditation, focusing on being in the moment so that the Athlete can visualize success and will be relaxed under performance A recovery juice will also be provided at the end of the session to replenish electrolytes and boost vitamin and mineral intake. This Athlete Recovery session is not a drop in class and will need to be booked in advance and does not fall under the current packages available. This session will be focused towards Athletes who are recovering from injuries and also geared towards athletes on low to moderate intensity training days. The room will be comfortably heated to a warm temperature to ensure relaxation of the muscles and guarantee a wonderful stretch. Numbers will be kept small to guarantee personal attention.
