ATLANTA GA WRENS GA AREA PLEASE HELP THESE LITTLE ONES AND MOMMA! DONATE FOSTER ADOPT TO TLC FOREVER HOMES. Apparently, someone dumped more than their trash at a county dumpsite in rural Georgia!! A resident of Wrens, GA takes her garbage to the county dump as there are no public sanitation services in her area. She has done this many times before but this time things were different. She hears some rustling and whimpering in the woods directly behind the dumping area. She is startled and stands back, afraid of what she is about to see. Then, to her shock and dismay, a very scared and emaciated black dog peeks out from the wood’s edge. She kneels down and tries to coax the dog into coming closer but has no luck. The dog is frozen with fear. As the lady walks slowly towards the dog she makes another shocking discovery…five shivering, thin, and very skittish puppies stand cowering behind their mother. For four straight weeks this Good Samaritan goes out to the dump and feeds this little family until finally, one day, she has a breakthrough! She has gained the mother’s trust and momma will now come and take food from the ladys hand. After a few more days, two of the pups are finally brave enough to approach the nice lady who brings the yummy food and fresh water but the other three pups are still too scared and stay under the protective cover of the woods. The lady realizes the situation is dire and without help, these puppies will die of starvation or disease. She contacts us, Angels Among Us Pet Rescue. One of our Angel volunteers wastes no time making the 160 mile trip to Wrens, GA with traps in tow. By the grace of God and the sheer persistence the Good Samaritan and Angels volunteer they have been able to catch the momma dog and four out of five puppies. They are frail and their skin is in terrible shape from malnutrition, fleas and ticks. Their bellies are bloated with worms. We are still trying to use the traps to catch the one remaining puppy but he is not falling for it. He won’t even go in for a McDonald’s cheeseburger! Our next step is to use the momma dog and siblings to try and lure the puppy out of the woods and into the trap. Here is where we plea for your help. Our vet bills are through the roof! We have been treating newborn puppies with pneumonia, had eye enucleation surgeries and amputations as well as many other major medical expenses; too many to list. We do it because we value the lives of those animals that have been abandoned, abused, and left to die. They all matter to us. The love we have to offer is free and abundant. Unfortunately, all the love in the world can’t save these puppies. Only donations can. Vet care is simply not free, not even for rescues. This sweet little family has done nothing wrong and did not ask for the hand they have been dealt. They have no chance without us and we have no chance without you! This is a huge undertaking so we are asking for anything you can spare to help us get this family of six to a vet and ultimately, a forever home. We must heal their bodies through proper veterinary care and heal their souls through the love of a foster home. How can you help? If you are in the Atlanta area, can you offer a foster home for one or more of these puppies or their mother? Can’t foster? Can you make a donation to the “Wrens Puppies?” Can’t donate? Can you share their story in hopes that others may be able to foster or donate? Fosters, donations and shares save lives! Humbly, Tiffany (Atlanta, GA) Donate - angelsrescue.org/donate and write Wrens puppies on the purpose line of your secure online donation form. Foster (must be in the Atlanta area) angelsrescue.org/foster Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and our donations are tax-deductible.
