ATTEMPTED ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE, MACKAY Police are appealing for public help following an attempted robbery with violence at an Andergrove shopping centre on Monday. About 12:45pm, a 61-year-old woman was walking in the Oak Street car park when two boys on bikes struck her from behind by unknown means. The boys then tried to grab the woman’s handbag and push her over, but rode off when she yelled for assistance. One of they boys is described as Caucasian, about 14-16 years of age and approximately 160 – 170cm tall. He has a medium build, long blonde hair and was wearing a beanie and grey jumper.
