ATTENTION--- Tilting A Windmill Community Volunteer Opportunities Its Tuesday afternoon and the new year is underway. Im organizing three events for Pahrump and Nye County, these will address some of the needs and bring awareness to others. I will soon be announcing a volunteer meeting, where we can get together and begin the process. 1. Adopt A Pothole This fund raiser is self explanatory, our roads are a mess yet the county funds are not available to complete all the repairs needed. I have calls in now to determine what the coast would be to address a pothole, get it repaired and help the public works department of Nye County. As we go forward, the money raised will go towards road repair. 2. Adopt A K-9 Dog Again, this is self explanatory. The sheriff department budget is in the red and we need community involvement in helping out the law enforcement. These dogs need food, have vet bills, and other needs just like our own pets. So the aim will be to raise money to help pay the cost of maintaining these dogs. 3. Spring Community This will be the third dinner we have put on, the first two were big success and I expect this one to grow from those. Plus we now have some experience as to how to go about this. I will find out which Non-Profit organization we can operate under for these three and other events in the future. What you need to do is answer my call to help and spread the word. Lets step up to the plate and begin taking a measure of burden off the town and county. Dwight Lilly
